The past two years being a part of the Fesler Falcons AVID family has been an amazing experience that I will never forget. Soon I will be going to High School and leaving my Junior High AVID family behind. The past few years I have learned how to stay focused and organized, and how to be prepared for anything that life might throw at me. Not only have the past years been full of hard work and dedication, but it has also been full of fun. AVID tries to keep you close to your fellow peers by having us all work together and solve challenging puzzles like the ones we have been doing at the AVID Olympics. The puzzles make us have to work together with our group to have fun and to bring everyone closer together as friends. With the help of my peers and AVID teachers, I have been able to find out what I want to do later in life while working on my AVID portfolio. We have also visited many Universities and Colleges ranging from UCLA all the way to the University of Santa Barbara. The field trips have helped me become less nervous about college and how my life will change. While we were visiting the campuses, we would talk to people who attend the colleges and ask them questions like how is life different living on a college campus and how many majors are available. AVID has been an amazing experience for me and I am really thankful that I was able to experience it.
